This vibrant farmers market wakes up a sleepy downtown every Saturday morning, with local farmers selling the best each season has to offer, from tomatoes, squash, baby greens, melons, pears, herbs to new potatoes.
In addition, one of the Valley's few year-round markets offers locally produced specialty foods, from free-range eggs, hand-churned butter, pickles, Italian dishes, jams, salsas and more. Along with food, the market offers a relaxing shopping experience, with background music by local bands, and artisans selling their wares, from purses to paintings. This year, the customer savvy market expanded to include a Wednesday evening market. In July, the public market plans to open a store at 14 E. Pierce St. that will sell locally produced food on weekdays.
